This has been the Blogging Platforms month, if you will, and there are a lot of interesting options out there, as we’ve seen.
Bear is one that gets mentioned often, and it is quite nice, in a simple way. I like it. I created an account back in 2020, and I have four “posts” there, one line things, just to keep it alive. I’ve missed 2023, but the other years are represented.
I would love to tinker a bit more with it, but the $5/month of the Pro plan are not going to happen. It’s a too simple platform for that kind of money, if that makes sense. I love, try, to support indie developers, but…
Bear is the one I’d recommend, if you’re looking for no-frills, and free, mind you. But $5 dollars a month in the blogging world will get you:

- One month of blot
- Two months of Ghost with PikaPods, probably the same if you go WordPress
